About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Designing and building the website backend, and front-end
2. Creating the website architecture
3. Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
4. Developing WordPress plugins
5. Conducting website performance tests
6. Troubleshooting content issues
7. Monitoring the performance of the live website
8. Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
9. Creating website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
10. Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
11. Gathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needs
12. Creating and maintaining software documentation
13. Maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
14. Cooperating with web designers to match visual design intent

Requirements:

1. 0-1 year of relevant experience with strong hands-on coding and design skills in PHP
2. Experience in WordPress CMS is a plus
3. LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) knowledge
4. Deep knowledge of Front End technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery)
5. Familiar with testing, debugging, and logging techniques and tools
6. Strong analytical skills and problem-solving techniques
