Key Responsibilities

Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using Laravel 12.

Write clean, secure, and reusable code following best coding practices.

Implement front-end integrations with Blade templates, Vue.js/React (if applicable), and APIs.

API Development & Integration
-
Build and consume RESTful APIs for seamless application integration.

Ensure secure data exchange between server-side and client-side components.

Database Management
-
Design and optimize database schemas with MySQL/PostgreSQL.
-
Work with Eloquent ORM and Laravel migrations for structured data handling.
-
Implement efficient queries, indexing, and caching strategies.

Feature Enhancement & Maintenance

Enhance existing applications by adding new features and improving functionality.
-
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in a timely manner.
-
Maintain documentation for features, code, and APIs.

Collaboration & Teamwork
-
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers.
-
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.

Contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

Performance & Security
-
Ensure application performance, scalability, and security standards.

Implement authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, Laravel Sanctum/Passport).

Apply best practices for data validation, input sanitization, and error handling.

Skills & Competencies Required

Core Technical Skills
-
Strong proficiency in PHP 8+ and Laravel 12 framework.
-
Solid experience with RESTful APIs, Eloquent ORM, and Laravel ecosystem tools (Queues, Jobs, Events, Broadcasting, Scheduler).

Good knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks like Vue.js or React.

Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases including query optimization.

Familiarity with Composer, Artisan commands, and Laravel Mix/Vite.

Additional Skills

Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab for version control.

Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit, Pest) and TDD/BDD practices.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure, etc.) and deployment processes.

Understanding of Docker or other containerization tools is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in agile environments.
