Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated, passionate, and skilled Physiotherapist to join our Pediatric Multi-Specialist Clinic. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with children and interested in learning and applying unique, evidence-based therapeutic techniques for managing neurodevelopmental disorders and other pediatric conditions.
This role is suitable for both experienced physiotherapists and freshers who are eager to gain hands-on exposure to advanced therapeutic approaches and work alongside a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pediatric Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation
-
Assess physical, neurological, and developmental conditions in children.

Design and implement personalized therapy plans based on the child’s needs.

Provide therapeutic interventions for motor delays, gait issues, muscle weakness, and postural problems.

Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
2. Primitive Reflex Integration & Sensory Integration Therapy
-
Work on primitive reflex integration techniques to improve motor and cognitive functions.
-
Conduct sensory integration activities to enhance the child’s balance, coordination, and sensory processing abilities.

Engage children in structured play-based exercises to develop body awareness and motor planning.
3. Cognitive & Occupational Therapy Support
-
Collaborate with the cognitive therapy team to enhance the child’s problem-solving, attention span, and memory.

Assist the occupational therapy team in improving fine motor skills, daily living activities, and hand-eye coordination.

Use adaptive techniques to encourage children to participate in functional and purposeful activities.
4. Oral Motor & Feeding Therapy
-
Work with therapists to improve oral muscle strength, swallowing, and speech development.

Guide parents on home-based oral motor exercises and feeding techniques for children with sensory challenges.
5. Brain Gym & Hemisphere Integration Exercises
-
Teach and conduct Brain Gym exercises to enhance concentration, memory, and cognitive skills.

Facilitate hemisphere integration techniques to improve coordination between the left and right brain for better learning and communication.
6. Collaboration & Multidisciplinary Care
-
Work closely with pediatricians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists to create comprehensive therapy plans.

Participate in team discussions and contribute to case reviews and goal setting.

Share regular updates on child progress with parents and multidisciplinary teams.
7. Parent Education & Counselling
-
Provide guidance to parents regarding home-based therapy practices.

Educate families about neurodevelopmental milestones, therapy goals, and progress tracking.

Offer emotional support to parents to help them manage expectations and improve child participation.
8. Documentation & Reporting
-
Maintain accurate patient records, assessment reports, and therapy progress notes.
-
Prepare monthly progress reports and share them with parents and supervising doctors.
-
Update treatment plans based on child response and developmental improvements.
Required Skills & Competencies
1. Technical Expertise
-
Strong knowledge of pediatric physiotherapy techniques.

Familiarity with neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) approaches.

Basic understanding of sensory integration, primitive reflexes, and motor coordination techniques.

Willingness to learn advanced therapy models practiced at the clinic.
2. Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with parents and children.

Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with children having special needs.

Ability to explain therapy goals and techniques in simple language.
