Picker / Packer Job in SHUBHKART INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED

Job Purpose

The Picker / Packer is responsible for executing day-to-day warehouse and stock operations, including accurately selecting items from storage shelves, verifying order quality, securely packing products, and preparing them for dispatch or store shelf replenishment.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking & Assembly:

  • Pick products accurately based on system-generated pick lists, barcode scanners, or order sheets.

  • Navigate warehouse aisles efficiently to locate, select, and retrieve merchandise.

• Packing & Labeling:

  • Pack items securely into boxes, bags, or crates according to DMart’s packaging guidelines to prevent damage.

  • Label packages correctly with destination tags, barcodes, and shipping invoices.

• Quality Control & Inspection:

  • Inspect goods for defects, damaged packaging, or approaching expiration dates prior to packing.

  • Ensure correct quantities and correct item variants (size, weight, brand) are packed per order requirements.

• Stock & Inventory Maintenance:

  • Unload, sort, and organize incoming stock into designated storage racks or bins.

  • Assist in regular cycle counts and inventory audits to keep stock records accurate.

• Safety & Maintenance:

  • Keep work areas, aisles, and packing stations clean, organized, and hazard-free.

  • Adhere strictly to company safety standards and material handling procedures.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Minimum 10th Pass / High School diploma equivalent.

• Experience: Freshers and experienced candidates welcome (0–2 years of warehouse or retail experience preferred).

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift goods (up to 15–20 kg) throughout standard working shifts.

• Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with handheld barcode scanners or warehouse software is a plus.

• Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, basic numerical skills, speed, accuracy, and team collaboration.
