Job Overview
A Picker and Packer plays an essential role in the warehouse, logistics, and supply chain operations of a company. Key Responsibilities
A. Order Picking

Accurately pick items from shelves, racks, or bins according to the picking list or order sheet.

Use handheld scanners or barcodes to identify and track products.

Ensure that the correct quantity and product specifications are picked as per the order.

Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or other inventory protocols when selecting items.

Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to prioritize urgent and bulk orders.
B. Packing Operations

Safely pack picked items into appropriate packaging materials such as cartons, boxes, or polybags.

Ensure that products are protected against damage during transit.

Label and tag packages accurately with the correct order and shipping information.

Follow company standards and quality checks for packaging to maintain consistency.
C. Inventory Management

Assist in stock replenishment by refilling shelves and bins as required.

Report low stock levels, damaged goods, or missing items to the warehouse supervisor.

Participate in inventory counts and audits to maintain accurate stock records.

Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area to ensure smooth picking and packing operations.
D. Dispatch & Shipping Support

Prepare packed orders for handover to the dispatch or delivery team.

Assist in loading packages onto delivery vehicles when required.

Verify that all shipments are complete, accurate, and documented properly.
E. Safety & Compliance

Adhere to health and safety guidelines while handling goods and operating warehouse equipment.

Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as instructed.

Report any accidents, hazards, or unsafe practices to the warehouse supervisor immediately.

Follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
