Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Picking:
-
Retrieve items from storage shelves, racks, or bins based on order lists or pick tickets.

Ensure items picked match the order accurately in terms of SKU, size, quantity, and specifications.

Use handheld barcode scanners, inventory software, or pick-to-light systems to track items.
-
Prioritize urgent orders and follow picking deadlines as directed by supervisors.
2. Packing and Labeling:
-
Pack items safely and efficiently using appropriate materials (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc.).
-
Ensure fragile items are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
-
Print and attach shipping labels and invoices to packages correctly.
-
Double-check contents and packaging quality before sealing.
3. Quality Control:
-
Inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies before packing.
-
Report any damaged or missing items to the supervisor or inventory control team.
-
Follow quality standards for packaging, labeling, and cleanliness.
-
Help maintain high levels of accuracy and completeness in all shipments.
4. Inventory Management:
-
Restock shelves and bins as needed after picking items.
-
Notify the inventory or stock control team of low stock levels.
-
Participate in regular inventory audits or cycle counts.
-
Maintain clean and organized storage areas.
5. Equipment & Safety Handling:
-
Operate basic warehouse equipment such as trolleys, pallet jacks, or handheld scanners.
-
Wear appropriate PPE (safety shoes, gloves, mask, etc.) as per company policy.
-
Follow all safety procedures while lifting, moving, or handling packages.
-
Report hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
6. Team Coordination:
-
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and logistics staff.

Work as part of a team to meet daily and weekly packing/shipping targets.
-
Support other warehouse tasks such as unloading, sorting, or housekeeping as needed.

Attend team meetings or training sessions on safety, process updates, or productivity tools.
