Job Overview
A Picker Packer is a critical part of warehouse and inventory operations, responsible for picking items from inventory, packing them accurately, and preparing them for shipment. This role ensures that orders are fulfilled efficiently, accurately, and on time, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
The Picker Packer must maintain attention to detail, speed, and accuracy while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires physical stamina, organizational skills, and teamwork to handle daily operational tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Picking
-
Retrieve items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets, invoices, or digital picking lists.

Verify product codes, quantities, and specifications before picking.

Ensure items picked are in good condition and meet quality standards.

Handle products carefully to minimize damage during picking.
-
Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor promptly.
2. Packing & Labeling
-
Pack items securely in boxes, cartons, or envelopes suitable for shipping.

Use bubble wrap, tape, and packing materials to prevent damage during transit.

Attach correct labels, shipping information, and barcodes to packages.

Ensure all packed orders match the customer’s order requirements.

Maintain tidy, organized packing stations to streamline workflow.
3. Inventory Management Support

Assist in stock counting, replenishment, and organizing shelves.

Report inventory discrepancies, damaged stock, or misplaced items to the warehouse supervisor.

Update inventory logs or digital systems accurately after picking or packing.

Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) or LIFO (Last In, First Out) inventory practices are followed as per company policy.
4. Quality Assurance

Inspect items for defects, damage, or expiration dates before packing.

Ensure every package meets company quality standards.

Communicate with supervisors regarding faulty or missing products.

Maintain high standards of accuracy and order integrity.
5. Safety & Compliance
-
Follow warehouse safety guidelines at all times.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Handle sharp, heavy, or fragile items safely to prevent injury.

Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.

Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
6. Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with warehouse managers, team leads, and shipping staff to ensure timely order dispatch.

Communicate delays, missing items, or urgent orders promptly.

Maintain records of packed orders, returns, and inventory adjustments.

Assist in preparing reports on daily packing performance and productivity.
