Job Description
Job Summary:
A Picker/Packer is responsible for picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment in a warehouse or distribution center. The role involves sorting, labeling, quality checks, and ensuring timely order fulfillment while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Picking & Packing
- Pick products from shelves according to order lists.
- Pack items securely in boxes, ensuring correct quantity and quality.
- Label, seal, and prepare shipments for dispatch.
2. Inventory & Stock Management
- Assist in stock replenishment and cycle counting.
- Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items to the supervisor.
- Maintain proper stock arrangement for easy retrieval.
3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance
- Perform basic quality checks on products before packing.
- Follow warehouse safety rules and proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
4. Loading & Dispatch Support
- Assist in loading and unloading shipments.
- Ensure proper documentation and order accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
- Minimum: High School Diploma / 10th or 12th pass.
- Training or certification in warehouse operations is a plus.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages (as per company weight limits).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
