Job Description
Accurately pick products from inventory based on order lists
Pack items securely and label parcels as per guidelines
Conduct basic quality checks before dispatch
Handle invoicing, billing slips, and prepare shipments
Coordinate with team members and follow safety protocols
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Picking and Inventory Handling:

Accurately pick products from shelves or inventory bins based on picking slips or digital order lists.

Double-check items against the order list to ensure accuracy in type, size, color, quantity, and other specifications.

Use handheld scanners, picking sheets, or warehouse management systems (WMS) to track picking activity.

Notify supervisors if stock levels are low or if discrepancies in inventory are noticed during the picking process.
2. Product Packing and Labeling:
-
Neatly and securely pack products using appropriate packaging materials to ensure safety during transit.

Apply correct labels, barcodes, and identification tags as per company guidelines and client requirements.

Use packing slips, invoices, and other documentation to confirm order details before sealing parcels.

Ensure fragile or sensitive items are handled and packaged appropriately.
3. Quality Control Checks:

Perform basic quality inspections to ensure that items are undamaged, clean, and meet packaging standards.

Report any damaged or defective items to the supervisor and follow standard procedures for replacement or return.

Keep packaging areas clean and organized to minimize the risk of errors.
4. Documentation and Shipment Preparation:

Prepare shipping documents such as invoices, packing slips, billing notes, and dispatch lists.

Ensure all paperwork is properly matched with each parcel before it leaves the warehouse.

Assist in preparing bulk shipments and coordinating with logistics providers or internal transport teams.

Load packaged goods onto delivery carts, trolleys, or shipping pallets for transport.
5. Coordination and Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and team leaders to meet daily shipping targets.

Communicate effectively with the team regarding order issues, delays, or inventory problems.

Participate in shift meetings and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives.
6. Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines, including the use of PPE (personal protective equipment) and safe lifting practices.

Follow company policies regarding cleanliness, handling hazardous materials (if applicable), and reporting incidents.

Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, especially when working with heavy or bulky items.
