The Picker Packer plays a vital role in the daily operations of a warehouse or fulfillment center. This position involves selecting, scanning, packing, and preparing items for dispatch according to customer orders or shipment guidelines. The role requires speed, accuracy, attention to detail, and physical stamina to handle inventory and meet order deadlines effectively.
The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that customer orders are accurately fulfilled and dispatched on time.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Picking:

Retrieve items from shelves or storage units based on order lists or pick slips.

Use handheld scanners or picking devices to locate items in the warehouse.

Verify product codes, quantities, and conditions before picking.
2. Packing and Labeling:

Carefully pack products into boxes, cartons, or packages with protective materials to avoid damage.

Seal packages securely and apply correct shipping or barcode labels.

Ensure items are packed according to company and shipping guidelines.
3. Inventory Control:

Maintain accurate records of items picked and packed.

Assist in stock counting, inventory checks, and reporting damaged or missing goods.

Replenish shelves or picking bins when required.
4. Shipping and Dispatch:

Move completed orders to the dispatch area and organize for shipping.

Work with logistics or delivery teams to hand over orders for transportation.

Assist in loading and unloading vehicles if needed.
5. Warehouse Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse or packing area.

Follow safety protocols and report hazards or malfunctioning equipment.

Dispose of waste materials in compliance with environmental standards.
6. Team Collaboration:

Communicate with supervisors, storekeepers, and fellow packers to ensure smooth workflow.

Report order issues, delays, or discrepancies promptly to team leads or managers.
