Job Opening: Pickup and Delivery Boy – Shivaji Nagar, Pune
We are looking for a Pickup and Delivery Boy to join our team in Shivaji Nagar, Pune.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driving license
Should own a bike
Prior experience in delivery services will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pickup and Delivery:
Collect packages or goods from predefined pickup points (e.g., stores, warehouses, customers).
Deliver items to designated addresses within the assigned territory or route.
Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed on schedule and recorded accurately.
Follow the safest and most efficient delivery routes using GPS or route optimization tools.
2. Documentation and Proof of Delivery:
Obtain proper signatures, OTPs (One-Time Passwords), or digital confirmation from recipients to confirm successful deliveries.
Collect payment for cash-on-delivery (COD) orders when applicable.
Maintain accurate logs of pickups, deliveries, payment collections, and returns.
Complete and submit daily delivery reports or records.
3. Customer Service:
Maintain a friendly, respectful, and professional demeanor with all customers.
Provide basic information or assistance when delivering items.
Handle minor customer issues on the spot or escalate them to the supervisor when needed.
4. Handling of Goods:
Ensure all items are handled with care during pickup, transport, and delivery.
Use proper techniques and safety measures when lifting or moving heavy or fragile items.
Confirm the quantity and condition of goods before leaving the pickup location.
5. Safety and Maintenance:
Drive safely and follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company guidelines.
Perform basic daily checks of the delivery vehicle or bike to ensure it is in good working condition.
Report any issues, accidents, or delays immediately to the concerned supervisor.
Keep the delivery vehicle or bike clean and organized at all times.
