Platform Ops Jobs in Bangalore - For a client of TeamLease Services Ltd

Roles and responsibilities:

·       Monitoring, prioritizing and addressing data pipeline issues

·       Pro-active in identifying issues using logs of data pipelines

·       Notifying and involving concerned teams on time to prevent service disruption

·       Execution of service-related commands and scripts in Linux CLI

·       Working on cluster nodes - Start/restart/stop services

·       Log analysis and root causing of issues in scope

·       Working on file systems - mount points swapping

·       Working on Application servers

·       Collecting dumps for analysis

·       Triaging and resolving database related issues using relevant queries/scripts

·       Understand and maintain java/python automation scripts

·       Open to take additional tasks at any point of time

Preferred Skills:

·       Should be flexible to work in 24/7 shifts on rotational basis

·       Minimum 2 years of hands on experience in UNIX (AIX, HP-UX) / Linux (Red hat, CentOS) based production environments

·       Knowledge in all aspects of ITIL incident management

·       Wide knowledge in cluster/ RAID concepts and datacenter operating systems

·       Knowledge in any of the container services is preferable

·       Working knowledge in micro service frameworks

·       Working knowledge in message brokers like Kibana, Apache ActiveMQ, Kafka, fuse etc.,

·       Work experience in any of the following ticketing tools (JIRA/service now)

·       Experience and knowledge on SQL/NoSQL databases

·       Expose to bash/Perl scripting and cron job scheduler

·       Good understanding on basic network concepts

·       Experience in any of the following Monitoring tools (New Relic/Nagios/grafana)

·       Experience in Application/ Platform operations would be added advantage

·       Understanding of Infrastructure Management & monitoring

·       Excellent communication skills
