Associate/ JRF job opportunities in National Institute of Advanced Studies
Project Title : “Exploring India’s Medieval Coastline using
Geospatial Analysis and Historical Records”

Qualification : The candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree (or
at least submitted thesis) from a recognized university/institution in a
related discipline [for eg: coastal geomorphology, geoarchaeology, geology,
archaeology, maritime/marine archaeology, cartography, architecture, computer
vision, remote sensing and GIS]. The candidate should have a sound conceptual
grounding in his/her discipline; excellent analytical and writing skills;
ability and experience in fieldwork. In addition, following skillsets are
desirable: remote sensing image analysis and ground truthing; GPS survey and
navigation; geo-spatial analysis.
Emoluments : Rs. 36,000/- + 24% HRA per month. This is a
rolling call till we fill the positions.
Junior Research
Fellow
Qualification : PG Degrees in disciplines such as (but not
restricted to): coastal geomorphology, geoarchaeology, geology, archaeology,
maritime/marine archaeology, cartography, architecture, Civil, Computer, ICT,
remote sensing and GIS. The candidate should have a research bent of mind, be
prepared to travel and conduct field survey (experience in this regard will be
appreciated). Following additional skillsets would work in favour of the
candidate: remote sensing image analysis and ground truthing; GPS survey and
navigation; geo-spatial analysis.
Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- + 24% HRA per month
