Department of Posts, Gujarat Circle, Ahmedabad has announced recruitment notification for appointment of Meritorious Sports Persons in the department of posts in the cadre of Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant, Postman and Multi Tasking Staff.

Sports Quota wise Vacancies: Table Tennis - 09, Badminton - 10, Cricket - 12, Vollyeball - 11, Basketball - 11, Athletics - 15, Cycling - 04, WL/PL/BP - 08, Kabaddi - 11, Wrestling / Greeco Roman / Free Style - 08, Chess - 05, Carom - 04, Football - 18, Hockey - 16, Swimming - 02.

Age Limit: 18 to 25 years for MTS and 18 to 27 years for all other posts. Age as on 20th March 2020.

Pay Scales:

Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant - ₹ 25500- 81100 (Level 4 in Pay Matrix)
Postman/ Mail Guard - ₹ 21700-69100 (Level 3 in Pay Matrix)
Multi Tasking Staff - ₹ 18000-56900 (Level-1 in Pay Matrix)

Educational Qualification: 10+2 standard or 12th Class pass from a recognized institute / university. Knowledge of Local Language (i.e. Gujarati).

Application Fee: Rs. 120/- in any of the computerised Post Office in India specifying "Direct Recruitment of meritorious sports persons in the cadre of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, Postman/ Mail guard & MTS in Gujarat Postal Circle". The Challan for payment of fees at Post Office is appended to application form which may be filled up and handed over to Post Office for generating fee paid receipt.
