Job Description
Postdoctoral/Doctoral Fellowships for Overseas Candidates - Faculty of Arts
Eligibility for PDF:The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for
PDF position: The foreign applicant must have acquired Ph.D. degree in the concerned fieldfrom a recognized University, not before two years from the date of application.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years at the time of the submission
of application. However, age relaxation of 5 (five) years will be given to
Physically Challenged and Women candidates.
Fellowship and other benefits: Selected PDFs will be awarded with a sum of Rs. 50,000/- per month (consolidated) as stipend and a contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum for consumables and domestic travel for attending conferences/seminars. International air travel ispermissible for the first time arrival by the shortest route from originating country by
economy class. The fellows are not eligible to receive any other fellowship from any
Government or Non-Governmental source during the tenure of the fellowship.
Eligibility for PhD:The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for doctoral fellowship: The applicant should hold a Master Degree in the concerned discipline or in the Interdisciplinary area awarded by a recognized University.
The upper age limit for the fellowship is 25 years at the time of the submission
of application.
Fellowship and other benefits:Selected Fellows will be awarded with a sum of Rs. 25,000/- per month as stipend (consolidated) and a contingency grant of Rs. 50,000/- per annum for consumables and domestic travel for attending conferences/seminars.
