Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Implementing Lessons:

Develop and implement a curriculum that is engaging, fun, and educational, based on the developmental needs of children.

Plan and organize activities to promote social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development (e.g., arts and crafts, storytelling, music, games, group activities).
-
Adapt lesson plans and activities to accommodate the individual needs and abilities of each child in the classroom.

Classroom Management:
-
Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages children to behave respectfully and participate in activities.
-
Set clear expectations for behavior and implement appropriate strategies for discipline and conflict resolution.

Ensure safety at all times by supervising children closely and maintaining a safe environment.

Fostering Development:
-
Encourage children to develop self-confidence, independence, and social skills through positive reinforcement and modeling appropriate behavior.
-
Observe and assess children's progress in areas like language development, motor skills, and cognitive abilities.
-
Provide guidance and support to help children develop good habits and positive interactions with others.

Parent Communication:
-
Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, behavior, and development.
-
Share observations of children’s achievements and challenges, and offer suggestions for continued learning at home.

Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and other activities that foster strong relationships between parents and the preschool.

Assessing Student Progress:

Monitor and assess children’s academic and social progress, keeping track of milestones and developmental goals.

Use observations and assessments to identify areas where individual children may need additional support or enrichment.

Document and maintain records of each child’s development and learning experiences.

Promoting Language Development:

Promote early literacy by reading to children, encouraging them to express themselves verbally, and introducing them to letters, words, and numbers.

Incorporate activities that support language development, such as storytelling, singing, and interactive games.

Incorporating Play-based Learning:

Create an environment that supports both structured and unstructured play, fostering creativity, imagination, and problem-solving skills.

Use educational games, toys, and materials that help children develop their fine and gross motor skills.

Health and Safety:

Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe environment, following health and safety guidelines.

Assist children with personal care tasks (e.g., handwashing, toileting, feeding) as needed, while encouraging independence.
