President  job recruitment in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology

The Search Committee invites applications for the post of President, Board of Governors of RGIPT from candidates who is an individual who has gained distinction in his professional life and preferably has academic, research or operational experience in the broad domain of petroleum technology including energy and hydrocarbon development. In addition, he should be an individual who has true understanding of the nature of professional education and commands public confidence. The position of President, Board of Governors is purely honorary and non-remunerative in nature.

Role and Responsibilities : The President, Board of Governors shall be ex-officio Chairman/ President of RGIPT Board of Governors and Finance Committee and member of RGIPT General Council. He shall preside at the meetings of Board of Governors, Finance Committee and at the Convocations of the Institute. He shall convene the meetings of Board of Governors and Finance Committee as per provisions made in the Statute in consultation with Director. The President- BoG shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by RGIPT Act or the Statutes.

Age Limit :  The President, Board of Governors shall hold office for a term of three years. The applicant should not be more than 67 years of age at the time of application.

Selection Process :  The President, Board of Governors shall be appointed by the Competent Authority based on the recommendation made by the Search Committee, which will consider applications received in response to this advertisement, as well as nominations received from eminent persons.
