Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team. The Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across various departments to enhance production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Design & Optimization:

Process Improvement: Analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for optimization in terms of efficiency, safety, quality, and cost reduction.

Process Development: Design and implement new manufacturing processes, including the integration of new technologies, equipment, and systems to improve production capabilities.

Process Documentation: Create and maintain process documentation such as flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process maps to ensure processes are standardized and followed correctly.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting:

Data Collection: Monitor production data and gather process performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement.

Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of process failures or deviations to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.

Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, cycle time, and scrap rates to assess the effectiveness of the process improvements.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Team Coordination: Work closely with other engineering, production, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure processes are designed and implemented efficiently.

Training: Provide training and support to operators and other staff members on process procedures, safety guidelines, and operational best practices.

Project Management: Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, reducing costs, or increasing production capacity.
4. Process Safety & Compliance:

Safety Standards: Ensure all process designs and operations comply with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing processes meet local, national, and international environmental and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).

Environmental Impact: Evaluate and reduce the environmental impact of processes, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability efforts.
5. Equipment & Technology Integration:

Equipment Selection & Integration: Assist in the selection and installation of new process equipment, ensuring it integrates well with existing systems and achieves the desired results.

Technology Implementation: Work with R&D or external vendors to integrate new technologies into the production process, including automation, robotics, or digital tools.
6. Continuous Improvement:

Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous process improvements and eliminate waste.

Continuous Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from operators, supervisors, and other team members to continuously improve processes and overcome challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in process optimization, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or related disciplines are a plus.

Skills:

Process Design Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial process design, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, Minitab, or similar software for statistical analysis.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and goals are met.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing systems, automation, and equipment relevant to your industry.
