Job Description
- The Product Design Specialist is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle, including: gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
- The Product Design Specialist's job also includes ensuring that the product supports the company's overall strategy and goals.
- Assist in defining the product strategy and roadmap
- Deliver product requirement documents (PRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding justification
- Assist in specifying market requirements for current and future products through market research supported by user-based input
- Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
- Be an expert with respect to the competition in K12 assessment and data reporting platforms
- Support the go-to-market strategy for respective products, working with all departments for execution
- Work Experience Requirements
- 0 - 2 years experience as a Product Specialist, Analyst or Equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical background, with experience in web technologies
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Examples and at least one sample of an effective product delivered in the past
- Support the company's overall strategy and goals
- Creative mind on product design and specs
