Responsibilities:Create 3D CAD parts/assemblies and clean manufacturing drawingsApply basic GD&T and tolerance stack-upsDesign for injection molding, sheet-metal, CNCRun DFM reviews with suppliers and close on first articlesWork with EE/FW for PCB keep-outs, mounting, thermal & enclosure fit
Must-have skillsCAD (SolidWorks / Fusion 360 / Onshape)GD&T basics (datums, position, flatness, perpendicularity)Tolerance stack-up (worst-case/RSS), fits (e.g., H7/g6)Process know-how: plastics (draft/ribs/bosses), sheet-metal (K-factor/bend), CNC (tool access, Ra)Clear drawings, BOM, revision control
Good to have:-Certifications: CSWA/CSWP (SolidWorks), Autodesk cert, ASME GDTP3D printing (FDM/SLA), basic FEA, CMM/inspection exposure, vendor communication
Education (any one)ITI: Draughtsman (Mechanical) / Plastic Processing OperatorDiploma: Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die / MechatronicsB.E./B.Tech: Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing / Mechatronics
