Production Engineer
Job Description
Strong knowledge of battery assembly and production
ITI or degree in Electrical, Mechanical needed
Maintain production records
operate and maintain production line equipment
Follow SOPs and comply safety norms
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Planning and Process Design
-
Develop and implement production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts and capacity.

Design efficient workflows and production layouts to optimize the manufacturing process.
-
Select and recommend equipment and tooling required for production.
-
Evaluate current production processes and identify opportunities for improvements.
-
Create detailed work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
-
Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
-
Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve performance.
-
Reduce production costs without compromising quality or safety.
-
Lead initiatives to improve productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance product consistency.
-
Work with teams to implement Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping, and other continuous improvement strategies.
3. Quality Control and Assurance
-
Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and safety standards.
-
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address defects, deviations, or non-conformities.
-
Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
-
Develop and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, FMEA, and SPC charts.
4. Technical Support and Troubleshooting
-
Provide technical support to production teams and machine operators.

Troubleshoot issues related to equipment, tools, and materials during production.
-
Assist maintenance teams with diagnostics and upgrades of production machinery.

Support commissioning of new machinery, tools, and production lines.
5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
-
Ensure production operations comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
-
Identify and mitigate risks in manufacturing processes.
-
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in workplace safety.
-
Conduct safety audits and risk assessments in coordination with HSE personnel.
6. Collaboration and Communication
-
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, procurement, maintenance, and logistics.
-
Act as a liaison between design engineers and production teams to ensure manufacturability.
-
Communicate clearly with team members regarding process changes, quality issues, or new procedures.
-
Train operators and production staff on new processes or technologies.
