A Production Operator is responsible for operating machinery, assembling products, monitoring production processes, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations. The role is crucial in industries such as automobile, pharmaceuticals, electronics, food processing, and consumer goods.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Machine Operation & Production Execution:
- Operate and maintain manufacturing machines & equipment.
- Ensure smooth production flow by monitoring machine performance.
- Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
2. Assembly & Manufacturing Processes:
- Perform manual assembly of parts and components as per guidelines.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Conduct packaging, labeling, and sorting of finished products.
3. Quality Control & Inspection:
- Check products for defects, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
- Report any faulty or damaged products to supervisors.
- Maintain high-quality output with minimal errors.
4. Maintenance & Safety Compliance:
- Regularly clean and maintain machines and tools.
- Follow workplace safety guidelines and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Report malfunctions or hazardous conditions immediately.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain records of production output, machine performance, and inventory.
- Submit daily or weekly production reports to supervisors.
- Assist in process improvement and efficiency.
