Job Description
Production Planning Engineer
This role is for production planning and control in an electronic manufacturing (Wiring Harness & Electromechanical assemblies) company.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Schedule usage of production materials and manpower to ensure optimal production levels
· Preparation of monthly and term production plans based on customer requirement plan
· On-time delivery to the customer as per customer requirement plan
· Production plan release and deployment
· Planning of equipment as per production plan
· Planning of manpower as per production plan
· Follow up for materials with the Purchase team to ensure to get them on time
· Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
· Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
· Forecast market challenges based on competitor analysis and industry trends
· Address issues regarding quality and production
· Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
· Manage deadlines based on project expectations
· Recommendation on staff requirements based on orders at hand
· Recommend for overtime hours to meet customer demand
Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Mechanical or equivalent experience
· 3+ years' of production planning experience in the industry

· Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
· Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
· Meticulous and diligent
· Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time
