Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University invites applications for the post of
Professor (8) , Associate Professor (10), Assistant Professor (39) from eligible candidates for the various disciplines to be filled
on direct basis
Professor (8)
Essential: i. Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences. ii. 10 year’s experience in the relevant subject out of which: a. 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension specialist or in an equivalent position in the PB – 3 of ` 15600 - 39100 with grade pay of ` 5400 / 6000 / 7000/ 8000 and b. 2 years as Associate Professor/Senior Scientist or in an equivalent position in the pay band - 4 of ` 37400- 67000 with grade pay of ` 8700/9000. iii. The Candidate should have made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact. Desirable: i. Adequate experience of teaching and guiding post graduate students. ii. Familiarity with modern tools and applications in scientific technologies in the field. iii. Specialization in plant taxonomy (only for the post of Professor – Plant Physiology)
Associate Professor (10)
Essential: i. Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences. ii. 8 years experience as Scientist/ Lecturer/ Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in PB-3 of ` 15600- 39100 with Grade pay ` 5400/6000/7000/8000. iii. The candidate should have made significant contribution to Research/ Teaching/Extension as evidence by published work, innovations, and impact. Desirable: i. Adequate experience of teaching and guiding post graduate students. ii. Familiarity with modern tools and applications in scientific technologies in the field.
Assistant Professor
Essential:
i. Master’s degree in relevant discipline with at least 60%
marks or equivalent grade point. Evidence of having
qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by
ICAR-ASRB, UGC-CSIR
OR
i. Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant
basic sciences with 2 published research papers in
scientific journals with NAAS rating of more than 5.
Desirable:
i. Specialization in Agricultural Finance.
ii. Experience of research in reputed ICAR
Institutes/Agricultural Universities/ Government
Institutions with evidence of published research papers.
iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
