Job Description
- The Program Executive is managed by and reports functionally to the Program – Coordinator. The position is based in FOLK department of ISKCON Bangalore, with regular travel within Bangalore, to other campaign locations.
- As a member of the Program Team, the job purpose is to participate in the planning and execution of campaign work in order to achieve the objectives of FOLK, currently focused on training people in Soft skills through personality enrichment workshop, In these workshops, our speakers will share time-tested Vedic principles of improving one’s focus, happiness and quality of life and a practical approach to incorporate these in our everyday life.
- In the first years the job will be primarily focused on developing and further enhancing the FOLK campaign in various educational institutes in Bangalore.
- CAMPAIGN WORKContribute to the development and implementation of FOLK’s campaign strategies, projects and campaign work in ISKCON.
- Coordinate and register people to paid and unpaid workshops following the individual work plan designed by the organization with measurable performance objectives.
- Undertake regular campaign work. Which will involve all or some of the following techniques: public communication and engagement activities and corporate work and the use of hospitable approaches to issues.
- Coordinate and manage all logistical arrangements for various workshops as required, including information gathering and facilitation to team, Volunteers, participants and other parties.
- Assist in the development of the social, legislative and strategic components of the campaigns in order to ensure productivity and respond effectively to strategic opportunities, which influences the development of FOLK activities.
- Communicate effectively with prospective participants.
- Establish communication and ensure collaboration with local authorities while maintaining an active network ensuring regular communications and reporting with office bearers in various allied and potential institutes.
- Represent FOLK in meetings and conferences by substantive briefings and drawing campaigning communications if required.
- In conjunction with the design and operations team, design, create and use a range of communications tools to communicate with target audiences and to achieve campaign objectives.
- Work openly and co-operatively with other team members.
- Respond to challenge, explore new ideas and take initiatives in all aspects of team work.
- Adapt role within team as appropriate, including playing supportive role to other members of the team as necessary.
- Take full part in the self-evaluation.
- Provide input and contribute to teamwork and team building.
- Assume any other responsibility appropriate to the role, as directed by the the Program – Coordinator.
- Undertake skills development courses if required as agreed by the Program – Coordinator.

- Advanced English (spoken)
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide range of people verbally.
- Ability to make effective presentations.
- Understanding of campaigning to achieve the objective.
- Understanding of the importance of the role of communications to locale authorities in campaigning with the ability to make and maintain effective contacts and relationships.
- Ability to analyse in terms of campaign opportunities and in terms of overall strategic objectives.
- Specific expertise or ability to become skilled in the following key campaign outputs: public Communication and Engagement activities; use of Traditional and New Media.
- Ability and willingness to travel day-to-day with ones own private vehicle Willingness to accept and implement team decisions and/or those taken by the Program – Coordinator.
- Ability of employing effective negotiation and persuasion while dealing with the prospects face to face.Organisation.
- Ability to prioritise and organise own work.
- Ms Office-literate and Google Suite.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
