Scrum Master

Responsibilities

Lead 2 to 4 Scrum teams
Remove the impediments and acts as safeguard for her/his teams during and after DSMs
Be responsible for release plan, sprint plan, daily sprint status, mid-sprint and end-sprint reports, sprint retrospectives and other ceremonies agreed upon
Work on Jira or similar tool and configure it for project needs to provide required views, data, dashboards and reports
Work on project metrics particularly involving burndown, productivity and defect metrics and monitor them to track team velocity and improvements
Facilitate learning and development through individual and team coaching, deliver trainings, facilitate workshops and off-sites
Coach teams through tough challenges and empower them to reach their potential
Proactively look for improvements and come up with new and innovative ways of working
Arrange meetings for rapid decision-making processes and proper use of agile process
Help product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready for the next sprint
Help teams or individual to clarify goals and actions to achieve them
Forecast the numbers of deliverables possible in an iteration based on evidence and reliable data
Own the project deliveries end to end, often donning the hat of a project manager
Participating in solution designs with engineering teams and product owners

Qualifications

Overall experience 8-12 years, at least 2 years as a Scrum Master for a 15+ member team
Certified Scrum Master preferred
Deep Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks (i.e., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, etc.)
Deep knowledge about Agile techniques including - User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Continuous Deployment, Automated Testing, etc.
Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
Knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand the team needs
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with diverse personality types across geographies
A degree or equivalent and a proven background in software engineering and project management
Familiarity with SaaS deployments and its supporting architecture
