National Mission on Himalayan Studies (NMHS)-Project Management Unit (PMU)

Project Assistant /01 Post

Essential Qualification: Master's Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ B. Tech. in computer science with minimum 2 years working experience of Linux/Unix based database management in National/ International Projects in any reputed organization/ institution

Desirable:

  1. Good data management skill supported with certificate
  2. Knowledge of networking.
  3. Relevant working experience in any reputed organization/ institution.
  4. Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains

Age Limit: 40 Years

Emoluments: Rs. 30,000/= P.M. fixed

 

NMHS funded project: "Rejuvenation of Kosi River of Kumaun Himalaya through field intervention and peoples participation"

Field Officer/02 Post

Essential Qualification: Master degree in Earth Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Forestry/ Geography/ Physical Sciences/ or MTech in Environmental Engineering/ Hydrology and other related streams of Watershed Management from the recognized University with 1 year experience

Desirable: Having field experience in soil and water conservation/ watershed behaviour and conservation practices/ a good understanding of geohydrology of mountain areas, have the knowledge of working with advances RS-GIS software

Age Limit: 28 Years

Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- +Rs. 1,800/- HRA

 

Junior Project Fellow/01 Post

Essential Qualification: First Class Master Degree in Earth Sciences/ Environmental Sciences/ Physical Sciences or MTech in Environmental Engineering/ Hydrology and other related streams of watershed management from the recognized University or Institute.

Desirable: Having 1 year experience in soil and water conservation/ watershed behaviour and conservation practices/, a good understanding of geohydrology of mountain areas, field and laboratory analysis work related to soil and water, have the knowledge of working with advances RS-GIS software, along with.

Age Limit: 28 Years

Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- +Rs. 1,800/- HRA

 

Field Assistants/02 Post

Essential Qualification: Intermediate with at least 3 year experience in field work in mountain areas

Desirable: Having an experience to work in difficult terrains on water and soil conservation projects

Age Limit: 45Years

Emoluments: Rs. 10,000/- fixed
