Area I : Biodiversity & Bio prospection :

Project Title  : 

The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of PA Level II in the project entitled, 'Reproductive Biology of Cyathea spinulosa (a Threatened Tree Fern) and studies on its multiplication restoration potentiality' and other projects if needed.

 The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of PA Level II in the project entitled, 'Bioprospecting plant diversity for food grade colours' and other projects if needed.

PA Level II

Qualifications :  M.Sc.(55%) in Botany/ Plant Science/ Biotechnology/ Environmental Science

Desirable :  Working experience on systematic, reproductive biology, developmental biology, mass multiplication, conservation and restoration of Pteridophytes.

Stipend :  Rs.25000/- P.m.

Age Limit :  30 years

PA Level II

Qualifications :  M.Sc.(55%) in Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

Desirable :  Experience in techniques related to extraction of natural food colours. Knowledge of running of equipment’s like HPLC and GCMS

Stipend :  Rs.25000/-

Age Limit :  30 years


Area II: Microbiology

Project Assistant Level II

Project Title  :   The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of JRF in the project entitled, 'Bio efficacy testing of botanical microbial formulations for the control of pests and diseases' or other projects if needed.

Qualifications :  M.Sc. (55%) in Life Science/Botany/ Biochemistry Biotechnology/ Microbiology

Desirable :  Working experience in area of Microbiology

Stipend :  Rs.25000/- P.m.

III : Molecular Biology & Biotechnology :

Project Title  :   

• The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of RA in the project entitled, 'Evolutionary significance of a miRNA and its role in shaping leaf morphology and biomass enhancement of Arobidopsis thaliona of West Himalaya' or'Small RNAs and Associated factors for enhanced post-harvest Life(SRNA-life)' or 'Genome editing for enhanced yield and quality traits (GE-plant)'and other projects if needed.

• The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of JRF in the project entitled,'Small RNAs and Associated factors for enhanced post-harvest Life(SRNA-life)' or 'Genome editing for enhanced yield and quality traits (GE-plant)' or 'Biotechnological Interventions through RNAi approach for Management of Banana Bunchy Top virus (BBTV) in Northeast Region of India' or' Pathway elucidation and identification of genes involved in guggulsterones biosynthesis in Commiphora sps.'and other projects if needed

• The candidates selected will be engaged for the position of PA level II in the project entitled, 'Understanding the epigenetics of fitness advantage of high altitude Arabidopsis thaliana populations under new environments' or 'Sub-genome dominance in endoreduplication and its implication in heterotic benefits to Fl-hybrids for biomass and their adaptation in Arabidopsis and cotton' or 'Small RNAs and Associated factors for enhanced post-harvest Life(SRNA-life)' or 'Genome editing for enhanced yield and quality traits (GE-plant)' or ' Pathway elucidation and identification of genes involved in guggulsterones biosynthesis in Commiphora sps.'and other projects if needed

Research Associate

Qualifications :  Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Life Science/Botany /Biochemistry.

Desirable :  Working experience in Small RNA, evolutionary biology, NGS data analysis. OR Experiencee in techniques related to plant molecular biology/plant transformation/ analysis of transgenic plants with at least two publications in high impact factor SCI Journals.

Stipend :  Rs.36000/- + HRA

Age Limit :  35 years

JRF (Project)/ Project Assistant Level II

Qualifications :  

For JRF :  M.Sc. in Biological Sciences/ Molecular Biology/ Life Science/ Botany/Agri- Biotechnology/ Plant Science /Bioinformatics/Biochemistry/ Botany/Plant Biotechnology or B.Tech in Bioinformatics /Biotechnology with CSIR/ UGC-NET/ ICAR/ DBT /JRF/ GATE . 

For PA II: M.Sc./B.Tech. (55%) in one of the above subject.

Desirable :  Working experience in molecular Biology, NGS data analysis. or Experience in molecular biology / biochemistry / bioinformatics techniques.

Stipend :  Rs.25000/- .m. + HRA

Age Limit :  30 years

Qualifications :  

Qualifications :  M.Sc. (55%) in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/Life Science/Biological Science/ Bioinformatics/Plant Science with two years post M.Sc. research experience or M.Tech in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology

Desirable :  Experience in molecular biology/biochemistry techniques. or Experience of working with techniques related to bioinformatics

Stipend :  Rs. 28000/-

Age Limit :  35 years
