Education & Work Experience: G-Bachelor's Level Degree - 5 year(s) experience
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of sciences/Social sciences/Economics/Social Work/ Sociology/Rural Development/Natural Resource Management or related field.
• A Master’s degree in the above fields will be desirable.
Experience Essential:
• At least 5 years of experience in implementation of community based natural resource management projects, especially in Himalayan landscapes.
• Close familiarity with the roles, activities and priorities of the State Forest/Wildlife Departments and other relevant line departments and agencies, with regard to natural resource management, biodiversity conservation or livelihood promotion/ community empowerment.
• Outstanding communication, project management and organizational skills.
• Experience of working in high range mountain landscapes.
• Experience of coordinating with state and landscape level government agencies.
Language Requirements: Excellent oral and writing skills in English and Hindi
Remuneration package is Rs. 65,848/- per month (taxable). UNDP also offers additional benefits which include medical insurance coverage and limited pension reimbursement for contract holder and encourages work life balance.
