Project Associate Materials Sciences job Position in IIT Bhubaneswar
Name of the temporary research Project : “Optimization of Silos, Bins and Hoppers Designs through Modelling, Primarily Intended for Iron Ore Storage”
Essential : PhD in Materials Sciences and Engineering or Soil Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering. Strong publication record Excellent hands‐on research skills and mechanical aptitude.
Experience with materials modelling and related techniques, especially in code writing using C++,Matlab, etc.Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Willingness to take ownership skills, both written and oral , Confidential recommendation letter from PhD supervisor is a must. It may be given in letter head in a sealed envelope or directly emailed to kishoresahu@iitbbs.ac.in Desirable Knowledge of programming skills especially in Matlab, C++, Python etc. Knowledge of modelling and simulation of granular materials using simulation techniques such as Discrete Element method (DEM), Molecular/ atomistic simulation, etc. Knowledge of LIGGGHTS, OVITO, etc.
