Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:

    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
    • Oversee the implementation of engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with project specifications and objectives.

  • Site Supervision and Coordination:

    • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project schedules.
    • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

  • Technical Oversight:

    • Interpret and review technical drawings, blueprints, and design documents.
    • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards and adherence to engineering specifications.

  • Resource Management:

    • Optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
    • Ensure all resources are available and deployed effectively to meet project milestones.

  • Quality Assurance and Control:

    • Implement quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet required standards.
    • Conduct regular testing and inspection to identify and rectify defects or discrepancies.

  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

    • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations on-site.
    • Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions for site personnel.

  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily progress reports, resource utilization, and incident logs.
    • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and management on project progress and challenges.

  • Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting:

    • Identify and resolve technical and operational issues on-site.
    • Proactively address delays and risks to keep the project on track.

  • Stakeholder Communication:

    • Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure alignment on project objectives.
    • Represent the organization in meetings and provide technical guidance when required.

  • Adherence to Local Regulations:

    • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and legal requirements in D.R. Congo.
    • Other Requirements:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Willingness to relocate and work in D.R. Congo.
