Project Fellow /Project Assistant Social Sciences job recruitment in Jadavpur University
Project titled: ‘Two Centuries of Indian Print’
Project Fellow
Essential qualifications: Candidate must have a first class MA degree, in the humanities/ social sciences/ library science/ museology etc. from a reputed university. The candidate must have knowledge of printing and publishing in Bengal. The candidate should be fluent in English and Bengali, and should have experience of creating and maintaining online sites, databases etc.
Desirable qualifications: Courses taken in book history/ bibliography/ palaeography/ archiving/ conservation/ piublishing; experience in digitising and creating metadata.
Duration: Sixteen months, with a possibility of extension for a year
Salary: Rs 22,000 per month (consolidated)
2. Project Assistant
Essential qualifications: Candidate must have a MA degree in the humanities and social sciences, from a reputed university. The candidate should be fluent in Bengali, with knowledge of printing and publishing in Bengal, and should have experience of creating and maintaining online sites, databases etc.
