Project Title : “Human-wildlife conflict resolution mechanism
in the Indian Himalayan Region: Risk assessment, Prediction, and Management
through Research and Community engagement (NMHS-HWC Project)

Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/
Zoology/ Forestry/ Environmental Sciences or Management/ Biodiversity and
Conservation/ with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized
University. Candidates with two years field research experience will be
considered for Senior Project Fellow (SPF).
Desirable : Experience /interest in: field data collection
for mammals/people-wildlife interface issues; abundance estimation and
analysis; behavioural studies; Remote sensing & GIS and working with
communities to reduce conflicts
Emoluments : Rs.
16000 (JRF) OR Rs. 18000 (SRF) HRA as per WII rules
Age Limit : Up to 28
years for JPF and up to 32 years for SPF as on the date of interview.

experience

will be given to candidates having experience in status survey of wildlife
species, good communication, writing and analytical skills as well as GISRS
knowledge.
