Job Description
Job Summary:
The Project Lead is responsible for leading, managing, and delivering projects from initiation through completion. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure milestones and goals are achieved on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
A Project Lead plays a critical role in stakeholder communication, team leadership, and risk management. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in project management methodologies and possess strong problem-solving, leadership, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Initiation

Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client or stakeholder requirements.

Work with internal or external stakeholders to gather business and technical requirements.

Prepare project plans, schedules, and resource allocation using tools like MS Project, JIRA, Asana, or others.

Identify project milestones and critical paths to track overall progress.
2. Team Leadership & Coordination
-
Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team comprising developers, designers, engineers, analysts, or other staff based on the project domain.

Assign responsibilities, monitor task progress, and ensure accountability and productivity.

Motivate and guide the team, resolve internal conflicts, and ensure optimal collaboration.

Conduct regular team meetings, daily stand-ups, or sprint planning (in Agile environments).
3. Execution & Monitoring

Monitor project performance using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and PM tools.

Ensure that tasks are executed according to defined timelines, quality standards, and within scope.

Identify deviations or delays and take corrective actions.

Track and manage budgets, resources, risks, and change requests.
4. Stakeholder Communication
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and partners.

Provide timely updates on project progress, challenges, and resolution strategies.

Conduct presentations, demos, or reports to communicate status and deliverables.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all communications, updates, and changes.
5. Risk & Issue Management
-
Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

Develop and implement risk mitigation plans.
-
Manage change requests and unforeseen obstacles without affecting core project delivery.

Escalate critical issues to senior management when required, with detailed impact analysis.
6. Quality Assurance & Delivery
-
Ensure all project deliverables meet defined quality standards.

Oversee testing, validation, and user acceptance where applicable.

Deliver the project output as per contract, SLA, or delivery agreement.

Conduct project retrospectives and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
