Qualification in Details:

An interview (online or in person depending on the COVID-19 pandemie situation) will be conducted on 23 November 2020 for recruitment of two (02) Project linked persons (one for each project) purely on temporary basis to work in the followingprojects titled 1, "iodeling Transcriptional Dynamicswith Gene Expression Data and 2 "Tmproving Powers of Simultaneous Analysis of Multiple Phenotypes" in the Human Genetics Unit of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

1.Qualifications (for both projects):Masters degree with consistently good academic record in Statistics with experience in Computer Programming, preferably in C and/or R Language, Data Analysis and handling statistical software packages. Preference will be given to candidates with a Biostatistics background and experience in data analysis and computation in statistical genetics.

2.Pay (for both projects):20000/- (Rupees twenty thousand only) toR24000/- (Rupees twenty four thousand only) per month depending on the experience of the selected candidates. (Consolidated pay with no other allowances).

3.Tenure of appointment(for both projects):The appointment would be upto 31 March 2021 from the date of his/her joining the institute which may be extended later/terminated earlier, depending on availability of funds, requirement of the project and performance of the candidate

4.Job description:Develop novelmethods proposed in the projects and compare efficiencies with other existing methods.

Age Limit:

Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 October 2020 with usual relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women and Differently abled candidates. Age relaxation may be given to extremely experienced and meritorious candidates.
