Applications are invited for the position of Project Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Project 'IEX-IITK Energy Analytics Lab - A CSR Initiative by Indian Energy Exchange Ltd'.
The applicant should be self-motivated and highly collaborative researcher. The candidate is also expected to contribute towards various activities at the Lab/Dept. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English and an ability to work independently are essential. Research potential of the applicant will be emphasized in the overall assessment. The post is purely temporary and on contractual basis.
The appointment would be initially given for one year, on an extension basis up to a maximum duration of two years.

Energy Analytics Lab (EAL)
The Energy Analytics Lab (EAL) is an industry-supported initiative of the Department of IME, IIT Kanpur to enable informed decision making by stakeholders in the Indian power market. The Indian Energy Exchange Ltd., the first power exchange in the country, has pledged to support EAL through its CSR initiative for an initial period of five years.
EAL aims to address the analytics needs of the Indian power sector through various data visualization and analytical tools over time. EAL would also develop learning tools to enhance understanding of power markets and provide periodic updates related to the power markets through a newsletter. EAL also provides a platform for conducting research related to the power markets.

Minimum Qualification: PhD in an area directly relevant to power markets, preferably regulation and policy research, from a reputed university/institute, and an excellent track record and publications in the relevant areas.
Note: The candidate, if selected should have been awarded PhD before joining.
Salary: Rs. 50000-55000-60000 pm consolidated
Others: Subject to availability of appropriate funds, project investigator may approve reimbursement up to Rs. 1 lakh per annum towards travel especially for presenting work at national/international conferences undertaken at EAL and contingency expenses to the Project Post Doctoral Fellow.
