1. The Centre of Plasma Physics- Institute for Plasma Research is a premier scientific institute under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India devoted to research and development activities in the areas of Basic Plasma Physics, Magnetic Confinement Fusion and Industrial and Societal applications of plasmas.
2. IPR is located in Bhat Village, Gandhinagar and also has extensions of its Laboratories at GIDC Sector -25, Gandhinagar and has a Center at Sonapur, Guwahati. Online applications are invited from highly motivated and result oriented candidates for the temporary posts of 04 Nos. Project Scientific Officer and 05 Nos. Project Scientific Assistant, to be posted at CPP-IPR, Sonapur, Assam. The essential and desirable qualifications against the posts with their post codes are tabulated below:
1. Name & No(s). of Post: Project Scientific Officer, No. of post - 01
2. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology (Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics/ Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualifications/Skill/ Experience: .1. High Voltage Engineering or power engineering 2. Hands on experience on measuring instruments 3. Understanding in High Voltage Discharging behavior in solids and gases. 4. Good knowledge of computational software (MATLAB or COMSOL) and electric field simulations and analyses.

2. Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science (Chemistry/ Physics/ Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualifications/Skill/ Experience: 1. Working experience in scientific projects 2. Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.

2. Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science (Electronics / Instrumentation) or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology (Electronics / Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualifications/Skill/ Experience: Experience in designing/ integration/ operation and maintenance of Data Acquisition & Control System, Fibre Optic Link, Power Electronics, PLC/PXI system and LabVIEW software, Signal conditioning and circuit design.

2. Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree in Science (Physics) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University equivalent.
3. Desirable Qualifications/Skill/ Experience: Experience in laboratory experimentation, simulation/ modelling technique using Matlab/ COMSOL/ Python/ Scilab/ Octave/ Fortran
Remuneration: 56,000/-+ HRA p.m. (Consolidated) for Project Scientific Officer. Increment of 5% after serving two years in CPP-IPR subject to performance review
Period: The above posts are purely temporary and for a period of two years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier, which may be extended for another one-year subject to performance review. Total duration will not exceed three (03) years or completion of the project, whichever is earlier. All appointed project personnel are subject to performance review every year as per prevailing rules for extensions.
