Project Scientist ‘B’

Qualification : M.Sc in Electronics or B.Tech / B.E or
equivalent in Electronics & Communications Engineering from a recognized
university / institute with atleast first class (60% of marks) in the
qualifying degree.
Desirable : Experience
in Operations & maintenance of RF systems, Antenna systems and various
other communication equipments. Experience in Operations & maintenance of
INSAT/VSAT field terminals and HUB stations. Experience in integration and
testing of electronic equipment.

M.Sc.(Tech.)) in Atmospheric Sciences / Oceanic Sciences / Climate Sciences /

equivalent from a recognized university / institute with at least a first class
(60% of marks) in the qualifying degree
Desirable : Research/teaching experience in Physical
Oceanography / Atmospheric sciences including familiarity with data processing
and analysis. Experience in the field of physical and biogeochemical data
collection at sea by undertaking/participating in cruises. Experience in
programming (Fortran, C, C++, Python, etc.) and data analysis using softwares
(e.g., Ferret, Matlab, etc.,). Familiarity with scientific visualization and
analysis software such as FERRET, GMT, MATLAB, ODV, GRADS etc. Physical fitness
and experience to undertake work onboard boats/ships at sea.

Desirable : Work/research experience in numerical models
like ROMS, HYCOM, MOM, etc. Exposure to oceanographic data formats, statistical
analysis of oceanographic and atmospheric data, modeling of ocean
biogeochemisty, and/or analysis of marine biogeochemical data. Programming
skills in Fortran, C/C++, Python, etc. Familiarity with scientific
