Fellows Marine Biology job position in Berhampur University
Project on “Prediction of coastal water quality”
Project Scientist-II/1 post
(Position: Oceanography / Marine Chemistry)
Essential Qualification: (i) Master degree in Oceanography/ Marine Chemistry/ Marine Sciences/ Chemistry or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. (ii) At least 3 years of research experience related to marine pollution studies, have a sufficient back ground knowledge in physico-chemical, nutrients, carbon and metal analysis of seawater and sediments analysis as evident from research publication.
Desirable: (i) Doctorate degree holders will be given preference. (ii) Working experience in the open sea and scientific cruise . Nature of work: To undertake field and laboratory studies on marine pollution, chemical analysis of water and sediments. Strong technical and scientific writing skills. Proven research through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Pay : 40 000 ( consolidated) + HRA as per University Rule

Essential Qualification: (i) Master degree in Marine Biology/ Marine Science or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Preference for NET candidates
Desirable: At least 1 year research experience in relevant field. Knowledge in field sampling of water quality, sediment in open and coastal ocean. Nature of work: To undertake field and laboratory analysis of phyto/zoo planktons and laboratory culture experiments.
3. Project Fellows/ 1 No. (Position 2: Marine Biology : Benthic / Microbiology)
Essential Qualification: Master degree in Marine Biology/ Marine Science or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks. Preference for NET candidates
Desirable: At least 1 year research experience in relevant field. Knowledge in field sampling of water quality, sediment in open and coastal ocean.
Nature of work: To undertake field and laboratory analysis of benthic organisms/ microbes and laboratory culture experiments.
4. Project Fellows/ 1No (Position 3: Physical Oceanography)
Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Oceanography/ physical Oceanography/ Marine Sciences/ Meteorology/ or equivalent from a recognized university/Institute with at least first class not less than 60% marks.
Desirable: At least 1 year of Experience in deployment / retrieval of oceanographic instruments, data collection, Ocean observations, Data processing and analysis, Ocean modeling related to ocean research. Preference for NET candidates

The Berhampur University came
into existence on 2nd January 1967 being inaugurated by Dr. A.N.
Khosla, the then Governor of Orissa and the first Chancellor of the
University. The University was later shifted to the present site known
