Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) invites application for the position Project Scientist
Department: Department of Civil Engineering
Consolidated Salary: Rs. 26400-2200-66000
Hours of work: Full time
Duration of Appointment: One year
Contract type: Purely temporary and on contractual basis up to 5 years
Principal investigator: Prof. Sachchida Nand Tripathi
Minimum Qualification: PhD or MSc + 3 year experience
The role: We are looking for up to 1 outstanding candidate to join the dynamic Prof. Tripathi's Group (http://home.iitk.ac.in/~snt/) within the Civil Engineering Department. The post is available for a period of five years. The position will involve preparation of reports, proposals and technical writing. Successful applicant will work closely with national and international collaborators. He/she must have the ability to work collaboratively yet independently. Must have strong computer skills and familiar with commonly used office softwares. The post is also open for any PhD holding candidates looking to branch out to management/administrative options. The salary is negotiable depending on the experience and qualification of the candidate.
