Project Scientist/ Project Assistants   job opportunities in Wildlife Institute of India (WII) on contract basis

Project Title  :  “Assessment and Monitoring of Climate Change Effects on Wildlife Species and Ecosystems for Developing Adaptation and Mitigation Strategies in the Indian Himalayan Region”

Project Scientist

No. of Posts  :  03 (Terrestrial Ecology, Aquatic Ecology, Spatial Ecology)

Qualification  :  Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Sciences/ Zoology/ Remote Sensing & GIS/ with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks from a recognized University with three years experience. OR Ph.D. in any of the above fields

Desirable : Expertise / knowledge in terrestrial / aquatic ecosystems, stream ecology, spatial analysis and ecological modelling, climatic change analysis and multiscale modelling. Experience in the Himalayan region.

Emoluments : Rs.50,000/- + Allowances

Age Limit :  Up to 40 years.

Project Assistants

No. of Posts  :  04 (Mammals, Invertebrates/ Micro flora)

Qualification  :  Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences

Desirable : Experience/interest in field /lab dealing with flora and fauna, data entry, analysis, report compilation and writing. Field experience in the Himalaya

Emoluments : Rs.22,000/- consolidated

Age Limit :  Up to 35 years.
