Job Description
ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian Nationals for the post of Project Site Coordinator. The position is based Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh or close by with the ability to regularly service the needs of farmers in this district.
Competencies: Extensive knowledge of, and experience in commercial vegetable cultivation – particularly in tomato production. Keen analytical skills and ability to conduct, monitor and evaluate experimental trials.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Telugu and an excellent team player.Proficiency in the use of various software applications (MS Word, MS Excel) and adequate knowledge and practical experience in handling variety evaluation trials. Energetic and enthusiastic personality with an urge to improve agricultural systems. An entrepreneurial outlook that aims to improve tomato value chains will be highly regarded
Requirements: PhD degree in agriculture/ horticulture with five years’ experience working in vegetable crops. However a Master’s degree in horticulture and extensive practical experience in tomato production would be very favorably considered
General: This is a Locally Recruited Staff (LRS) position is for one years, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.
