Job Description
As a Pharmaceutical Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, utilities, and systems meet defined quality, safety, and regulatory standards. You will lead or assist in validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, review, and execute validation protocols including IQ (Installation Qualification), OQ (Operational Qualification), PQ (Performance Qualification).
Perform equipment qualification, utilities validation (e.g. HVAC, clean utilities, water systems).
Conduct facility and environmental validation (temperature mapping, humidity, clean rooms).
Prepare, maintain, and review validation documentation, reports, and records in compliance with cGMP / GMP / regulatory norms.
Assist in risk assessments, root cause analysis, change control, deviation handling.
Work closely with internal teams (Engineering, Production, QA, Regulatory) to ensure issues are resolved.
Support audits (internal and external) and inspections.
Perform preventive maintenance and validation of software / computer systems if applicable.
Qualifications / Eligibility
We welcome candidates with any of the following educational backgrounds (with relevant experience where applicable):
Qualification Level Preferred Field(s) Experience / Skills Expected
ITI (Relevant Trade) Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation / Process / Maintenance from recognized ITI Minimum 2–3 years experience in pharma / manufacturing environment. Exposure to equipment maintenance, calibration, basic validation practices.
+2 (10+2, Science Stream) Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Vocational / Science 1–2 years experience or internship in pharma validation / QC / production support; willingness to learn. Strong understanding of basic technical concepts.
BSc (Science) Chemistry / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Life Sciences 1–3 years experience in validation, QC, or process engineering roles. Knowledge of GMP / validation concepts.
BTech / BE Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Biotechnology 2–5 years experience in validation (equipment, utilities, processes). Familiar with protocol writing, regulatory compliance.
BPharm Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Sciences 2–4 years experience in pharmaceutical quality / validation; good knowledge of regulatory guidelines, documentation, and pharmaceutical equipment.
Desired / Additional Skills
Good knowledge of GMP / cGMP regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant regulatory bodies (e.g. FDA, WHO).
Strong documentation skills: writing validation plans, SOPs, reports.
Basic computer skills: MS Office; familiarity with validation software or systems (if applicable).
Good problem-solving, attention to detail, ability to work in cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects, prioritize, maintain timelines.
For higher roles: experience with utilities (clean water, steam, HVAC), environmental monitoring, software/computer system validation.
