ICMR funded ad-project titled “RATIONS study: A cluster randomized trial of nutritional support (food rations) to reduce TB incidence in household contacts of patients with smear positive pulmonary tuberculosis in communities with a high prevalence of under-nutrition (total duration: 3 years) implemented by this institute. This project is a joint collaborative venture of NIRT, Chennai as well as Center for Nutrition Studies, YENEPOYA (Deemed to be University), Mangalore.

Project Technician III(Field worker)
Place of posting: Seraikela-Kharsawan, Paschimi Singhbhum districts.
Number of posts: 3 posts (1 post in each district) UR-2,EWS-1
Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years.

Emoluments Consolidated salary: Rs.18,000/- p mM,875/-p
Essential qualification : 12th Pass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory
Technician or PMW or related subject or
one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization
or
Two years field/laboratory experience* in a Govt. recognized organisation.
*BSC degree shall be treated as 3 years’ experience
Desirable qualifications skills and other requirements :;Previous experience in field-based studies or programmes, especially those related to TB or nutrition in Jharkhand and in the district concerned, will be considered desirable.
Skills in nutritional assessment, of entering data and good communication skills and community interactions would be highly desirable. Candidates should have a valid driving license and own a 2-wheeler vehicle to enable their travel. Proof of domicile in the district of work would be preferred.
