Job Description

Graduate degree in Science/Mathematics or related field (B.Sc. with Maths & Science subjects).

D.Ed. / B.Ed. (mandatory as per CBSE norms).

Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a primary section of a CBSE or equivalent school (preferred).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Planning and Delivery:

Teach core subjects including English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and other foundation subjects as per the school curriculum.

Develop lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and learning objectives.

Use a variety of teaching methods such as storytelling, role-play, hands-on activities, and digital tools to engage young learners.

Adapt lessons based on students’ needs, learning styles, and individual abilities.
2. Classroom Management:

Maintain a disciplined yet friendly classroom atmosphere.

Encourage positive behavior, cooperation, and respect among students.

Monitor student attendance and maintain records as required by the school.

Manage students with patience, understanding, and sensitivity.
3. Student Development:

Support the cognitive, emotional, and physical development of children.

Identify students who may need extra support and provide remedial assistance or inform the academic coordinator.

Foster creativity and critical thinking in students through interactive and innovative activities.

Encourage reading habits, personal hygiene, and social responsibility.
4. Assessment and Evaluation:

Design age-appropriate assignments, worksheets, projects, and tests.

Conduct formative and summative assessments to track student progress.

Maintain records of academic performance and provide feedback to parents.

Evaluate student growth regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
5. Parent Communication and Reporting:

Communicate regularly with parents through Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), report cards, and informal feedback sessions.

Share student progress, behavior, and classroom activities with transparency.

Collaborate with parents to address student learning challenges and personal development needs.
6. Classroom Environment and Resource Management:

Maintain a clean, colorful, and engaging classroom environment with educational charts, displays, and student work.

Create and manage teaching aids, flashcards, and learning resources to make lessons visually appealing and effective.

Organize classroom materials and maintain proper documentation.
7. Co-Curricular and School Activities:

Encourage participation in school events such as annual day, sports day, art competitions, and cultural programs.

Supervise students during excursions, assemblies, and events.

Support and participate in school initiatives like environment awareness drives, reading weeks, or health check-up camps.
8. Collaboration and Professional Development:

Work closely with fellow teachers, coordinators, and school leadership to enhance teaching strategies.

Attend workshops, seminars, and training sessions organized by the school or external bodies.

Share best practices and innovative teaching methods with colleagues.
