Job Description

Psychiatric Social Worker recruitment in Odisha Public Service Commission

Psychiatric Social Worker in Group - 'B'  State Service for Drug-De-addiction Centre (DAC) under Health & Family Welfare Department.


Qualification: (I) At least 55% in M.A./M.Sc. Degree in Sociology or Social Work . (ii) M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work from any Govt. / UGC recognised Institution. 


Total No. of vacancies : 14 (3-w) , UR - 7 (2-w) , SEBC - 2,SC- 2,ST- 3 (1-w)

Age: 21-32 yrs


Scale of Pay :  Rs. 9300- 34800

Application Fee:  A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 200/-(Rupees two hundred) only. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe of Odisha and Persons with Disability (whose permanent disability is more than 40%) are exempted from payment of this fee.


The candidates are required to take a print out of the finally submitted online Application Form for future use and take a print out of online challan (pay in slip) for payment of requisite fee at any branch of State Bank of India (SDI). The fee(s) paid shall neither be refunded under any circumstances nor can be adjusted or held in reserve for any other examination/recruitment. 

Method of Selection: 
The selection of candidates for recruitment to the aforesaid posts will be made on the basis of career Acceccment and Viva Voce test. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates.
