About Asmi
An initiative by Delhi University alumni and students, Asmi is India's first-of-its-kind creative learning forum that supplements the education system to overcome its deficiencies. By making an early intervention in mental health, it is to ensure the precarious problems we grew up with, don't end up grappling the generation that is just sprouting.
It creates an 'offline' detox space for children by using conventional methods of art, music, dance, and theatre, etc. as a therapy to unwind, journey within and explore the horizons of their imagination. It makes use of concepts of psychology and innovative pedagogy to build and facilitate weekly forums. Conducted in an inter-generational and a diversified setting, the aim is to impart life skills that every child today will need in the future, to survive the screwed-up world they will inherit. A forward-looking vision that seeks to create a social dent, here's the center of Asmi's universe: wholesome, healed, and celebrated childhoods.
About the work from home job/internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Designing activities and curriculums from scratch that focus on the cognitive, moral, social-emotional, and behavioral development of children
2. Leveraging concepts of applied social and child psychology to build a creative supplement to the Indian education system
3. Facilitating smooth exchange between different generations
4. Participating in analyzing human behaviors and lending constructive conclusions
5. Building psychometric parameters to access growth (life skills)
6. Managing everything real-time and hands-on from creation to delivery
