Public Health Programme Coordinator job recruitment in Department of Panchayats & Rural Development

Name/No. of the Post: Public Health Programme Coordinator/2

Educational Qualification:

Essential : Graduate in any stream, preferably in Social Sciences, under any recognized University.

Desired: 

(a) 3 (Three) years working experience of Public Health related programme in any leading NGO or in any Govt. Organisation.

(b)Knowledge of Computer Operating mainly on MS-Office.

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 17,000/- at a lump.

Age : Minimum 21 years completed and not exceeding 40years as on 1/1/2017.

Selection Process :

1. The Selection Committee will decide the date and venue of the Written Test. The total marks for Written Test will be 60 and the Syllabus for the test may be as following -

a. Bengali - 15 (Grammar, Essay etc.)

b. English - 15 (Grammar, Essay etc.)

c. Mathematics - 15 (General Arithmetic and numerical aptitude)

d. Public Health - 15 (Essay and general awareness)

2. The cut off mark of the written test will be fixed by selection committee. Candidates getting more than cut off marks may be invited for Computer test and Viva-voce.

3. The Selection Committee will inform the eligible candidates for the Computer test (20 Marks) and also the viva-voce (20 Marks).

4. According to the total marks obtained (in written test, computer test and viva voce), a panel of candidates will be made and published accordingly in the Department's website as well as in the Notice board of the Department.

5. The selected candidate will have to execute a contract with BSRDA.

Panchayats & Rural Development Department of the Government of West Bengal is entrusted with the responsibility of constitution and framing policy related to functioning of the rural local self-government, ie, the Panchayats, providing administrative support to the three tier panchayat system as well as implementation of various rural development programmes including the major poverty alleviation programmes in the rural areas of the State. The Department also organizes community action for participatory planning and development through the elected Panchayat bodies at different levels. As per 2001 census, the population of rural West Bengal is 577.34 lakhs out of a total state population of 802.21 lakhs with density of population 904 per Sq Km, which is more than three times the national average of 273 per Sq Km. The State has 18 districts, which are further divided in to 341 Development Blocks. Administration of the Block Development Offices is also one of the responsibilities of the department.
