Job Description
- Welcoming visitors to the school and using the VisitEd programme to register visitors to school, following Child Protection procedures.
- Operating the school switchboard.
- Responding to telephone/email enquiries from parents and public.
- Receiving parcels and deliveries; ranking outgoing post and arranging special deliveries when necessary.
- Using Microsoft packages, particularly Word and Excel, to help support the school’s administrative team.
- Assisting with all administrative duties such as photocopying, filing, etc.
- Assist in locating students when reported “missing” from class
- Liaison with the School Registrar in the scheduling and organisation of audition days.
- To understand Data Protection and Confidentiality.
- To use social networking sites, such as Facebook and Twitter to update Elmhurst pages/information.
- To create and distribute the school’s Daily Briefing.
- To be flexible and highly organized.
- To work to deadlines in a calm and confident manner when under pressure.
- To use SIMS on a daily basis for school administration.
- To administer the distribution and collection of Sixth Form Locker keys.
- Assisting with box office administration for school performances.
- Assisting with school events such as Parent Open Days and School Performances.
- To carry out any such task as shall be deemed necessary to the smooth running of the school.
- Attend and participate in staff and working group meetings and training as appropriate.
- Adhere to and work within Elmhurst School practices and policies including those relating to Equal Opportunities.
