This is a full-time on-site role for a Pumps and Compressor Servicing Technician position at Super Tech Pumps and Equipments Pvt. Ltd. in Chandigarh. The role involves maintaining and servicing pumps and compressors on a day-to-day basis.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining pumps and compressors
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair techniques for various pump and compressor systems
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
- Certification or training in pump and compressor servicing is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and Setup:
-
Install new pumps, compressors, and associated equipment as per manufacturer guidelines and customer specifications.

Assist in commissioning newly installed systems and ensure proper integration with existing infrastructure.

Conduct system tests to verify that all pumps and compressors are functioning correctly after installation.

Routine Maintenance:

Perform regular preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, and related machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Check oil levels, filter conditions, lubricate parts, and monitor the overall condition of the equipment.

Inspect air filters, valves, bearings, and other components for wear and tear, replacing or repairing them as necessary.

Clean and replace air and oil filters in compressors regularly to prevent clogging and ensure smooth operation.

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and records of all services performed.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in pumps, compressors, and other related systems.

Utilize diagnostic tools and test equipment to identify and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, or electronic components.

Perform fault analysis, inspecting for problems such as pressure drops, unusual noises, vibrations, and electrical failures.

Troubleshoot and correct problems related to motor failure, improper pressure levels, leaks, and system inefficiencies.

Provide emergency repair services for faulty pumps or compressors, working quickly to minimize downtime.

Repairs and Overhauls:

Repair or replace damaged parts, including motors, seals, gaskets, valves, and bearings, to restore equipment to full working condition.

Conduct major overhauls of pumps and compressors when necessary, disassembling and inspecting internal components, and performing complex repairs.

Rebuild or replace pump impellers, compressors, and other components as required to restore functionality.

System Optimization:

Perform system upgrades or adjustments to improve the efficiency and performance of pumps and compressors.

Identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and lowering operational costs through improved system performance or preventive measures.

Install variable speed drives (VSDs) and other energy-saving technologies where applicable.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate service records, documenting all maintenance, repairs, inspections, and parts replacements.

Complete service reports for customers and management, providing detailed information about work performed and any recommendations for future maintenance.

Track inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring that necessary parts are available for quick repairs.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards when working with pumps and compressors, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and adherence to environmental regulations.

Ensure that all installations, repairs, and servicing activities are performed in compliance with local, state, and national regulations.

Work safely with high-pressure systems, electrical components, and hazardous materials (e.g., lubricants, fuels) following correct safety procedures.

Provide training to other staff members, if necessary, to raise awareness about the safe operation and maintenance of pumps and compressors.

Customer Service and Support:

Work closely with customers to understand their equipment needs, answering technical questions, and providing clear explanations of maintenance processes or issues.
